Earthworks 2.18
Trimble has announced the release of its latest version of Earthworks, 2.18. Job Setup Changes
One of the biggest changes that operators will notice in Earthworks 2.18 is that Infield Design has been removed from the “Mode” dropdown. Instead, Infield Designs have been reintroduced as Infield Surfaces, and will appear as a Guidance surface rather than a standalone design. This allows Infield Surfaces to be used alongside the design files from the office and can help conceptualize using an infield surface with your office design line work.
Surfaces Manager
The new surfaces manager will display a list of all the surfaces available in a project. This will include the Infield Surfaces, as well as Office Surfaces. You will now be able to select a single Guidance Surface, and up to two Reference Surfaces to provide context and awareness to the operator.
Grading Update: Messaging for operators and technicians
There have been some improvements made to the messaging and instructions in the OPUI and WebUI to provide some added clarity to operators and technicians alike.
