Trimble has announced the release of version 1.71 of Trimble Siteworks which will be available at no charge for users with an active Trimble Protection Plan with an effective date of November 30, 2023 or later. This update can be installed using the Trimble Installation Manager (TIM) app on your site tablet. New features and functions to the Siteworks platform:
“Turn to” Function is Now Accessible from the Joystick screen when using UTS
- While using a Total Station, you can now access the “Turn To” function from the Joystick screen. This will allow users easier access to the “Turn To” function, and will help make controlling your total station easier if you lose connection with your target.
Machine Control Data Export Updates
- It is now possible to convert a DXF/TTM design into an SVD/SVL format to use with GCS900 systems. When exporting a design out of Siteworks for use in a GCS900 machine, there will now be a file format dropdown that will allow you to select which file format you would like to export to your usb. VCL designs in Siteworks will not be able to be converted to an SVD/SVL, so this functionality will only be available for designs with the DXF/TTM file format.
- Another update to the Machine Control Exports is that you can now export COGO defined arcs and circles in the currently open Work Order. These will be included in all “Measured Linework” and “Surface” exports to GCS900 and Earthworks.
