Siteworks Version 1.73
Trimble has announced the release of version 1.73 of Trimble Siteworks which will be available at no charge for users with an active Trimble Protection Plan with an effective date of August 31, 2024 or later. This update can be installed using the Trimble Installation Manager (TIM) app on your site tablet. If you are unsure of your plans expiration date, or would like to renew your Trimble Protection Plan, please contact your SITECH Northland Sales Representative for assistance. This latest release introduces the following features and functions to the Siteworks platform:
Ability to Change point type between Surface and Feature
It is now possible to change the point type of a measured point from Surface to Feature, or from Feature to Surface. This feature will not include the point type modification for control points or stakeout points. The workflow for this will be accessible through the Edit Point feature, which can be accessed either through the Points Manager, or by tapping and holding on the point that you wish to edit. This will allow you to edit points that you want to include or exclude from a surface or volume calculation without having to manually re-measure points or send the data to the office.
New option to create a Line from COGO Point at Bearing & Distance
It is now possible to create a line when creating points using the COGO Point at Bearing & Distance Command. Once you have your origin point selected, there will be a new check box on the screen prompting you to “Create line from points”. Once the box is checked you will be given the prompt to name your line, as well as select the line type you wish your new line to be (i.e. Breakline, Volume Boundary, etc.).
